The "Amazing Garbage Clown", or the "Infamous Garbage Clown," or just "Garbage Clown" is really just a guy named Peter Milo who lives in Southern Brooklyn.
And for brevity's sake, that guy is me.
Garbage Clown is a name I came up with when I wanted to take on a persona. I envisioned a garbage clown like an anti-superhero. He'd be a little funny and kind of weird. Like me.
I was curious and creative as a child. As I got older, I started writing and taking photographs. Eventually I enrolled at The New School, where I earned a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts. My concentrations were in screenwriting and photography.
Narrative is an important part of my work. When I take a photograph, I'm interested in what a photo is saying, rather than what it's displaying. Much like how Henri Cartier-Bresson describes as "the decisive moment."
Along with Cartier-Bresson, my major influences are Robert Frank, W. Eugene Smith, and Mary Ellen Mark.
Currently I'm studying design at Parson's, and to pay the rent I'm a public servant.
